LA HERENCIA HOTEL AND GUEST HOUSES
1. General Information
1.1. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIME:
Check-In: 3:00 p.m.
Check-Out: 12:00 p.m.
1.2. EARLY CHECK-IN:
We are pleased to offer early check-in; however, it is subject to the hotel’s availability at the time of your arrival. If you wish to guarantee that the room is ready upon your arrival, we recommend booking the room for the night prior to your current arrival date.
1.3. LATE CHECK-OUT:
We’re happy to accommodate your wish to extend your stay; however, check-out after the established time is subject to availability.
The schedules and additional charges for late check-out are as follows:
From 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: COP $250,000 (VAT included)
After 6:00 p.m.: Full nightly rate applies.
1.4. EARLY DEPARTURE:
An early departure prior to the scheduled date on your reservation will result in a penalty charge. In the event that you check out before the departure date stated in your reservation, a charge of 50% of the stay or the established rate for the reserved days will apply.
1.5. NO SHOW:
The hotel will charge a No Show fee (failure to appear for the reservation) in the event of non-arrival on the scheduled check-in date. A charge of 50% of the total value or established rate of the reservation will be applied.
2. RATE POLICIES
- Cancellations or modifications are allowed up to 48 hours before the check-in date, without penalty, under the flexi rate.
- Reservation payment: To guarantee the reservation, full prepayment (100% of the stay) is required.
- In case of cancellation or modification outside the indicated timeframes, the client expressly accepts a penalty of 50% of the stay.

4. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
You may exercise your right of withdrawal only for non-face-to-face purchases made through our website
www.laherenciahotel.com or through the telephone reservation center. The request must be made by email to reservas@lasamericashg.com within a maximum of five (5) business days following the confirmation of the purchase.
If the check-in date is within those five days, the right of withdrawal will not apply.
Once your request is received, we will refund the full amount paid with no deductions or withholdings within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the request date. The refund will be made via bank deposit to the reservation holder or reversal to the credit card used.
5. MINOR REGISTRATION
If you are traveling with your child(ren) under 18 years of age, you must present the child’s ID document (civil registry) that proves your relationship.
If the minor(s) are not traveling with their parents, you must provide at reception, in addition to the child’s ID, a notarized authorization from the parents and a copy of the IDs of those who granted the authorization.
Without this documentation, minors will not be allowed to enter the hotel.
This requirement complies with Law 679 of 2001, the Statute for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents and its related regulations.
6. CREDIT CARD FRAUD CONTROL
To protect cardholders from credit/debit card fraud, guests must present at check-in:
- The credit/debit card used to make the online reservation
- A physical ID of the cardholder
The hotel reserves the right to refuse check-in if this requirement is not met.
The hotel may cancel a confirmed reservation if fraudulent card use is suspected.
Therefore, the cardholder must be the same person who made the reservation and will use the hotel services.

7. 19% VAT
A 19% VAT is charged to residents in Colombia.
Clients who are not residents in Colombia and who purchase packages or tourism plans may qualify for VAT exemption, according to Article 481 of the Tax Code, amended by Article 55 of Law 1607 of 2012, and regulated by Decree 297 of 2016.
To qualify for the exemption, non-residents are defined as foreigners or nationals entering Colombia without the intent to establish residence, and who prove this status.
Foreigners must present their original passport; Andean card or Mercosur card; and valid immigration entry stamps such as PIP-3, PIP-5, PIP-6, or PIP-10, or a valid temporary visa such as TP-7, TP-11, or TP-12—depending on their reason for entering Colombia.
Colombian nationals must prove foreign residency with documents issued by the authorities of their country of residence.
8. TOBACCO CONSUMPTION PREVENTION POLICY
In accordance with Law 1335 of 2009, smoking is prohibited in rooms, public areas, restaurants, and meeting rooms.
All rooms at La Herencia Hotel and Guest Houses are 100% smoke-free environments.
Smoking or having any tobacco product lit inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.
Violation of this policy will incur a charge equivalent to three (3) times the current legal daily minimum wage, to cover cleaning and deodorizing of linens and the room.
9. PET POLICY
At La Herencia Hotel and Guest Houses, we welcome guests traveling with pets and/or service animals.
Admission is allowed according to our published Pet Policy, which includes service dogs, guide dogs, emotional support animals, and others.
To bring a pet, the guest must:
- Fill out and sign the pet check-in form
- Pay the applicable additional fee
- Fully comply with the terms of the policy and the law at all times
10. ANTI-CORRUPTION AND ANTI-FRAUD POLICY
All activities at La Herencia Hotel and Guest Houses are carried out within a framework of legality, professionalism, and ethics.
We have established appropriate measures to prevent and detect any corrupt or dishonest conduct that could occur within the scope of our operations.
Our aim is to foster a culture of ethics and transparency and safeguard corporate integrity.
11. DECLARATION OF SOURCE OF FUNDS AND POLICY ON MONEY LAUNDERING AND TERRORISM FINANCING PREVENTION
La Herencia Hotel and Guest Houses is committed to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, complying with national and international regulations regarding the prevention and control of:
- Money laundering
- Terrorist financing
- Financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction
We have implemented internal policies, procedures, and strategies for risk prevention and control in line with these standards.
Our clients commit to ensuring that their funds come from lawful sources and to implementing safeguards to prevent their operations from being used, without their knowledge or consent, as instruments to hide, handle, invest, or benefit from money or goods derived from criminal activities—or to give them a false appearance of legality.
The client acknowledges that La Herencia Hotel and Guest Houses has the right to carry out the verifications it deems appropriate, and to terminate any commercial or legal relationship if it is confirmed that the client appears on binding, restrictive, or informative lists related to money laundering, terrorist financing, or the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
The hotel also reserves the right to make reports to the competent authorities, in accordance with its internal risk prevention manuals and regulations.
By making a reservation and checking in, the guest accepts all the terms and conditions stated above, without the need for a handwritten signature.
